## **Why doesn't META have a hard cap?**

There's currently no hard cap on the supply of MetaFi Token, making it an inflationary token.

Community members often point to this as a cause for concern.

we do not believe that there is any need to worry because through mechanisms we will be able to combat inflation.

So what are the other ways META' supply is limited, to counter inflation?

### **Reducing block emissions**

By reducing the amount of META made per block, we slow inflation. Every day the emission rate is reduced by 3%.

### **Deflationary mechanisms**

Regular token burns ([view burn address](https://ftmscan.com/address/0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD)) are built into many of MetaFi Swap's products. Check the Meta-nomics page for details on present and upcoming deflationary mechanisms.
